Asset Manager - Hybrid

Job Summary

An Asset Management Specialist is needed to help Veritex continue to grow and mature its IT environment. Veritex is growing rapidly on the business side and IT is struggling to keep up with overall asset life cycles, as well as the management of 3rd‑party vendor relationships. The role is roughly 80% Asset Management and 20% Vendor Management. The specialist will assist with vendor management for coordinating licenses, tracking SLAs, performance metrics, warranties, and ensuring deliverables are met.

This position is more reporting and documentation and liaises with the Vendor Management team, acting as an intermediary between vendors to create deadline schedules and ensure profitable relationships. Vendor inventory totals 57; the goal is better engagement and timely closure of vendor relationships. Additionally, the specialist will support the implementation of Service Now modules (ITSM, ITOM, HAM, SAM) with a focus on effective CMDB setup, service catalogs, and vendor onboarding.

• Assist in managing vendor relationships by coordinating licenses, SLAs, performance metrics, warranties, and adherence to deliverables.
• Compile and provide reporting/documentation to the Vendor Management team for tracking vendor engagement and profitability.
• Act as intermediary with vendors, creating and overseeing deadline schedules.
• Support Service Now implementation, including ITSM, ITOM, HAM, and SAM modules; configure CMDB, service catalogs, and vendor onboarding processes.
• Maintain an organized CMDB for 800 employees, 100 workstations, 300 servers/switches, 1500 hard assets, and 2700 IP‑addressed items.
• Ensure future‑state readiness for HAM/SAM in Service Now and that asset management is set up for long‑term success.

Preferred Experience: Expert level with demonstrated implementation and ongoing management of ITOM in preparation for HAM and SAM.

Additional Qualifications: Prefer candidates with continuous involvement in implementation and ongoing operation, rather than frequent contract jumping.
