Collins Aerospace is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Software / Production Support Engineer to perform production, assembly, and checkout of hardware (HW) and software (SW) network communications equipment racks, embedded Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS), and program-unique modules and components.

This exciting opportunity will involve applying your technical expertise to support and troubleshoot IT hardware, software, and network systems.

Responsibilities
  • Testing of Hardware and Software for connectivity and usability, as required.
  • Installation and Configuration of DIPN Hardware in a lab environment.
  • Support for development and test teams utilizing equipment in the Lab.
  • Creating, maintaining, and improving processes.
  • Establish customer lab requirements for program product line features.
  • Tasking and planning for program efforts.
  • Design support systems machines and network devices.
  • Establish and maintain connectivity between RTX systems and external systems, configuring all network access needed.
  • Ensure RTX and Business Partners have reliable access to project systems.
  • Support all other teams in their tasks involving all aspects of the DIPN.
  • Documentation of changes within the DPIN configuration of hardware.
Qualifications
  • System Administration experience and best practices experience.
  • Experience with configuring networking devices (i.e., routers, switches, etc.).
  • Experience with writing technical documentation (i.e., SOPs, mechanical drawings, workflow diagrams, etc.).
  • Experience with virtualization technologies, preferably Harvester/Rancher, Longhorn, Kubernetes, etc.
  • DOD 8140 IAT II Certified.
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
  • Active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Git, Gitea, Artifactory, etc.
  • Basic understanding of using Jira and Confluence.
  • Experience with working with Podman.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) technologies like Ansible and/or Terraform.
Salary

Salary range: $86,800 – $165,200 USD.
