Sr Infrastructure Engineer - Cribl

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cribl Engineer to design, implement, and optimize data pipelines for observability and security platforms. This role will manage Cribl Stream/Edge deployments, enable efficient log routing, transformation, and cost optimization across security and monitoring ecosystems.

• Ensure efficient log routing, transformation, filtering, and enrichment to maintain high performance, cost optimization, and observability across enterprise environments.
• Provide 24x7 operational support for Cribl Stream infrastructure and data pipelines, including on‑call rotation every 6th week.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve data ingestion, routing, and transformation issues.
• Maintain runbooks, SOPs, and documentation for operational processes.
• Support on‑call rotations and escalation processes.
• Collaborate cross‑team on architecture, development, implementation, and health monitoring of indexes.
• Maintain hot/warm/cold data/index lifecycle management and data governance practices.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS or related field OR equivalent technical certification and/or college courses with 6years of IT experience OR 8years of IT experience.
• Strong experience in log management, data pipelines, and observability tools.
• Hands‑on expertise with Cribl and related platforms such as Cribl Lake, Elastic, Dynatrace or cloud‑native logging solutions.
• Experience with Windows, Linux, CentOS and/or Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
• Experience with ETL techniques, Logstash and Beats.
• Experience with multi‑node clustering, architecture, development, implementation, and health monitoring of indexes.
• Knowledge of hot/warm/cold data/index lifecycle management, Elasticsearch management, reindexing and data mappings, JSON and KQL searching syntax, and Kibana dashboard options.
• Experience with automated configuration management tool and playbooks (Ansible, Chef, Puppet, blade logic) and Docker containers, and Git Hub.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, preferably Azure, and working in Dev Ops structured and Agile organizations.

• Experience in security observability / SIEM integrations.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Dev Ops practices.
• Knowledge of data governance, compliance and PII handling.
• Certifications related to Cribl, Splunk or cloud platforms.
• Experience tuning ingestion pipelines for cost optimization at scale.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, detail oriented, effective interpersonal skills, strong organization and problem‑solving ability.

Base Pay Range: $84,400.00 – $. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
