SAP Leasing Data Conversion Lead

Location(s): Richardson, TX

Timeframe: Immediate

The SAP Leasing Data Conversion Lead will provide functional and technical oversight for Data Cleansing, Conversion & Reconciliation for the Verizon SAP Leasing Initiative. The resource will oversee the analysis/mapping, design, development, testing and validation of Data conversion and reconciliation programs for the Leasing migration. The entire leasing conversion lifecycle for this project requires a minimum of 3 months of effort by a dedicated techno‑functional resource who is extremely well versed with SAP Leasing Architecture and intricately familiar with the technical conversion objects associated with SAP Leasing.

Additionally, this resource must be supported by a full‑time functional and a full‑time technical resource from Verizon IT.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Work with the business users to support all aspects of the business analysis and design of data conversion requirements for the SAP Leasing solution.
  • Develop a Data Validation and Verification Strategy and plan in support of Testing and Go‑Live activities for the Business team.
  • Prepare a detailed mapping for legacy files to final formats required for upload into SAP Lease Accounting.
  • Provide detailed design and technical specifications to the technical team to code conversion and reconciliation programs.
  • Support all data mock conversion cycles and the subsequent data validation efforts in support of Testing and Go‑Live activities.
  • Support reconciliation with legacy values for each of the mock conversions and final cutover; provide detailed reconciliation supporting documentation for any write‑offs that may be required.
  • Support the Verizon Conversion Lead in sequencing the final cutover activities and executing the cutover effort.
Other Requirements of the Position:
  • Knowledge of SAP Leasing functionality and architecture.
  • Knowledge of conversion strategy and conversion objects for SAP Leasing.
  • Knowledge of financial mathematics for bill plan and accrual schedules.
  • Experience with data cleansing and conversion.
  • Experience with data verification and validation.
  • Experience with reconciliation of accrual values vis‑à‑vis legacy postings.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multi‑disciplinary team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Senior SAP Leasing Consultant

Location(s): Torrance, CA

Timeframe: June 18, 2009

Design & configure SAP Leasing solutions. Review & control deliverables, prepare implementation strategy, manage development effort & handle legacy migration activities. Develop proof of concept & conduct “to‑be” workshops, configure all basic functions, settings & transaction settings. Travel req./relocation may be required.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assign tasks from technical and functional perspectives, interact with client and stakeholders, analyze current business requirements, track and mitigate risks.
  • Design and configure SAP Leasing solutions.
  • Review and control deliverables, prepare implementation strategy, manage development effort, handle legacy migration activities and ensure proper utilization of hardware and network resources.
  • Perform “as‑is” study and requirement gathering for the client in the area of pricing and product master data.
  • Develop proof of concept and conduct “to‑be” workshops, and configure all basic functions, basic settings and transaction settings for pricing, billing plan, including dates, item categories, action profiles, pricing procedures and access sequences.
  • Write technical specifications for the enhancements and get the enhancements delivered from the technical team along with integration testing of the configured processes.
  • Prioritize and coordinate development work and perform code review.
  • Travel to various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. to interact with clients and train end users for various short and long term assignments.
Other Requirements of the Position:
  • A Master's Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Business Administration or related plus five years of experience in the job offered or related occupation as a Computer Software Professional.
