Position Summary
Principal Digital Product Configuration Management Engineer – responsible for managing digital product configuration across the DPCM department t maintain no‑fault builds, orchestrate DCRBs, administer the Digital Products Development Library, and enforce configuration management practices.
Location & EmploymentOnsite at RTX Facility, Richardson, TX or State College, PA. U.S. citizenship and active TS/SCI clearance required.
Key Responsibilities- Perform builds and releases of digital products via manual processes or certified pipelines.
- Facilitate Digital Change Review Boards (DCRBs) and coordinate configuration activities.
- Maintain the Digital Products Development Library (DDL) – ensuring control, traceability, consistency, and security.
- Perform configuration planning & identification, change management & version control, status accounting, and configuration audits.
- Document and enforce guidelines for dependency management, build, and versioning.
- Administer CM‑relevant tools (Azure Dev Ops, Git, Git Lab, Git Hub, Jira, Bit Bucket, Confluence, Coverity, Artifactory, Jenkins, Nexus, Bamboo).
- Coordinate data transfers and courier support across environments.
- Lead release coordination and interface with functional and program leadership to guarantee on‑time delivery.
- BS/BA in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics).
- Minimum 8 years of engineering experience in configuration management or related roles.
- Proficiency with version control and change‑management tools; familiarity with Agile planning.
- Experience with DPCM/Dev Sec Ops technologies and scripting in Linux, Unix, and Windows.
- Automation shell scripting expertise.
- Current Security+ certification.
- Active Top Secret/SCI clearance; U.S. citizenship.
- Experience with digital product/software configuration management principles and implementation.
- Hands‑on with DP/SW CM tools:
Azure Dev Ops, Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Artifactory. - Experience building software/digital products.
- Proficiency in scripting languages:
Perl, shell, batch, Python, Ruby, YAML. - Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Git Flow, and Agile concepts.
