Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP IBP Consultant / Business Solutions Architect to support Lennox’s ERP transformation and Parts Distribution Center (PDC) enablement initiatives. This role will design, configure, and optimize SAP IBP Demand, Supply & Response, and Inventory Optimization solutions, ensuring they can handle high-volume, exception-driven parts planning scenarios.

Essential

Job Responsibilities
  • IBP Solution Architecture & Implementation
    • Own technical architecture and design for SAP IBP (Demand, Supply & Response, Inventory Optimization) and integration tools (CPI-DS, SDI, RTI).
    • Configure and enhance IBP modules to support high-volume transaction processing (POs, order lines) and exception-driven planning workflows.
    • Ensure alignment with enterprise IT strategy and SAP roadmap.
  • Requirements Analysis & Gap Resolution
    • Lead deep-dive sessions on business requirements.
    • Evaluate:
What IBP can deliver via standard configuration, where gaps exist vs. business expectations.
    • Provide clear recommendations: configuration solutions, enhancements/workarounds, alternate approaches where IBP limitations exist.
  • Exception-Based Planning & Performance Optimization
    • Design solutions to support mass exception handling (shortages, excess, supply constraints).
    • Fast processing of large volumes of POs and planning data.
    • Improve system responsiveness and meet business expectations for speed, throughput, and scalability.
  • Business Engagement & Prioritization
    • Collaborate with Supply Chain, Parts Operations, and IT teams.
    • Translate business pain points into actionable IBP solutions.
    • Define and manage a prioritized roadmap aligned to: PDC enablement, ERP rollout phases, post-go-live enhancements.
  • Data & Planning Model Design
    • Define and optimize planning areas, key figures, and master data models.
    • Support data readiness including data cleansing, transformation, and harmonization.
    • Ensure alignment with ERP data structures and analytics platforms.
  • Integration & End-to-End Flow
    • Support integration between SAP IBP, SAP ECC and external systems (data lake, reporting tools).
    • Ensure seamless planning flow across demand, supply, execution and PDC & ERP transformation.
  • Support phased implementation and delivery
    • Align IBP design with PDC blueprinting and rollout strategy.
    • Identify deliverables during blueprint and post-PDC phases.
  • Delivery, Testing & Continuous Improvement
    • Lead/support full lifecycle: design, build, test, deploy, hypercare.
    • Support UAT, validation, and performance testing.
    • Drive continuous improvement of IBP solutions and planning processes.
  • Governance & Best Practices
    • Ensure adherence to SAP IBP best practices, IT standards, and governance.
    • Document processes, milestones, and solution architecture.
  • Support long-term IBP capability maturity and scalability.
Required Skills & Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in SAP IBP implementation and architecture.
  • Hands‑on expertise in demand planning, supply planning / response & supply, and inventory optimization.
  • Experience with SAP CPI-DS / SDI / RTI integrations.
  • Experience with SAP ERP (ECC/S4 integration).
  • Strong experience in high-volume, exception-based planning environments.
  • Business requirement analysis and solution design.
  • Experience in full software development lifecycle and architecture design.
Bonus Points
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience in aftermarket / parts / distribution-heavy business models.
  • Multi-ERP consolidation or transformation programs.
  • Exposure to data lake / analytics platforms.
  • High-scale transaction environments (POs, order lines, exceptions).
  • Ability to assess IBP limitations and propose alternate solutions.
Skills & Competencies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment with competing priorities.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Experience working with cross-functional and multi-geographic teams.

A reasonable estimate of the pay range is $76.00 - $81.00 per hour.
