Position Summary
Principal Digital Product Configuration Management Engineer – RTX, Richardson, TX (or State College, PA). This role focuses on building, releasing, and maintaining digital products across the development lifecycle, ensuring configuration control, traceability, and security of all artifacts.
Key Responsibilities- Perform builds and releases of digital products manually or through certified pipelines.
- Facilitate Digital Change Review Boards (DCRBs).
- Maintain, control, and administer the Digital Products Development Library (DDL) and related tools.
- Ensure configuration items are controlled, traceable, consistent, and secure throughout the digital development lifecycle.
- Conduct configuration planning & identification, change management & version control, status accounting, and configuration audits.
- Manage digital product development and media libraries.
- Document and maintain guidelines for dependency management, build, and versioning.
- Provide DPCM tool administration, including Microsoft Azure Dev Ops Server, Git, Git Lab, Git Hub, Jira, Bit Bucket, Confluence, and related CM tools.
- Administer and use Dev Sec Ops tools such as Coverity, Artifactory, Jenkins, Nexus, Git Lab CI/CD, and Bamboo.
- Coordinate data transfers and courier support across environments.
- Lead coordination of digital product releases and interface with functional and program leadership to ensure on‑time delivery and configuration management execution.
- BS/BA in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) or equivalent.
- Minimum 8 years of engineering experience.
- Proficiency with version control and change management/agile planning tools.
- Experience with DPCM/Dev Sec Ops technology and IT or development/scripting.
- Automation shell scripting expertise in Linux, Unix, and Windows.
- Current Security+ certification.
- Active and current Top Secret/SCI security clearance required Day
1. U.S. citizenship required.
- Experience in Digital Product or Software Configuration Management principles and implementation.
- Familiarity with DPCM/SW CM tools such as Azure Dev Ops, Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, and Artifactory.
- Experience building software/digital products.
- Knowledge of scripting languages (Perl, shell, batch, Python, Ruby, or YAML).
- Experience with Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), Git Flow, and Agile concepts.
Active and current Top Secret/SCI security clearance is required on day
1. U.S. citizenship is mandatory, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Salary range: $107,500–$204,500
USD, depending on experience and role level.
