The following position is to join our RTX Corporate, Enterprise Services. The products and services RTX provide to the United States Government are critical to our nation’s security. It is imperative that our programs can securely collaborate to provide services, develop new capabilities, and improve existing capabilities.
We are looking for a network engineer who can support this vital mission.
The ideal candidate will have significant experience in LAN/WAN routing and switching, and firewall administration in a classified operating environment. This candidate will be a member of the RTX Classified Network Services team, with a primary work location in Richardson, TX. Relocation support is available according to our company policy requirements.
Description of Duties:Maintain, and upgrade (software/firmware/hardware) LAN/WAN components including routers, switches, firewalls. Monitor, analyze, troubleshoot, and optimize network system performance, proactively identifying and quickly resolving service impacting issues. Drive and/or participate in projects in support of installation and/or improvement to voice, video, and network infrastructure. Produce, update and generally improve technical documentation to support security requirements and operational support of systems. Review systems vulnerability assessments to ensure compliance with recognized industry standards and best practices.
May require infrequent on-call and on-site support of networks after normal business hours including weekends. May require infrequent travel to other sites within the local region.
Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience At least 8 years of experience as a network engineer. The selected candidate must have a DoD 8570 – CSSP Infrastructure Support security certification (e.g CEH, CySA+, GICSP, SSCP, CHFI, CFR, Cloud+, CND) or able to obtain one within 6 months of employment.)
TS/SCI with CI Poly on Day 1 Qualifications
Cisco CCNP or demonstrated equivalent knowledge and experience. Proficiency in Cisco LAN/WAN routing and switching technology to include OSPF, BGP, DMVPN, and IPSec tunneling. Proficiency in administration of Cisco Firepower and Palo Alto security appliances. Familiarity with the rules and standards of operating a network in a SCIF environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong collaboration, team building. Strong customer service ethic and focus.
