Property & Inland Marine Underwriting Intern; Fall

We are seeking an intern to join our Property & Inland Marine team in Richardson, TX. This internship will provide the intern with an opportunity to develop an understanding of underwriting guidelines and policy language while gaining exposure to property and inland marine coverage at Great American Insurance Group.

Duration: fall semester start, 15–20 hours per week during the school year with the opportunity to work full time during school breaks. Must be available for 40 hours in the summer.

• Reviewing and analyzing underwriting reports.
• Supporting underwriters with coordinating and processing policies.
• Entering policy information into policy management system.
• Marketing and administrative assignments.
• Participation with special projects, as assigned.

• Current enrollment in an accredited college or university in business administration, finance, economics, statistics, communications, risk management, or insurance.
• Overall GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Self‑motivated with strong organization skills.
• Ability to manage and prioritize work and meet deadlines.
