Claim Professional Development Program Intern

• Complete structured onboarding to Travelers systems and protocols
• Gain exposure to Personal and Business Insurance claims of basic to moderate complexity
• Learn strategies for investigating, negotiating and resolving claims thoroughly, accurately and efficiently
• Develop knowledge of claim circumstances, damage estimation, applicable coverages and customer support
• Observe Claim Professionals through desk work and ride-alongs with experienced employees
• Work with a designated manager/mentor through core assignments
• Complete challenging and meaningful project work
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. now and in the future
• Obtained or pursuing a Bachelor’s degree
• Preferred cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
• Suggested college majors include Business Administration, Liberal Arts (with business focus preferred), Business Management, Risk Management and Insurance or a business-related discipline
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Customer service, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Housing assistance is not provided

Demonstrates knowledge of Personal and Business Insurance claims, including investigation, negotiation, and resolution strategies. Proficient in Microsoft Office and possesses strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
