Looking for a Buyer / Supply Chain role where you can drive cost savings, manage vendor relationships, and support production efficiency? Join a fast‑paced manufacturing team where your procurement decisions directly impact on‑time delivery, inventory flow, and overall operational success.
Responsibilities- Manage procurement of parts, materials, services, and capital equipment to support production and operational needs.
- Coordinate vendor orders and delivery schedules to ensure on‑time receipt of materials at the target cost.
- Expedite open orders and communicate with suppliers to prevent delays and maintain production flow.
- Prepare RFQs based on customer BOMs, including pricing, lead times, lot sizing, and cost analysis.
- Maintain accurate purchasing records in compliance with quality system requirements.
- Resolve discrepant or excess materials and coordinate proper disposition with accounting.
- Analyze purchase price variance (PPV) and support cost reduction and purchasing efficiency initiatives.
- Support continuous improvement efforts using Lean and Six Sigma principles.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to ensure material availability and accuracy.
- Use Microsoft Excel and other tools to track, analyze, and report purchasing data.
- Apply strong negotiation, communication, and problem‑solving skills to supplier management and sourcing activities.
- Work in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Associate degree required;
Bachelor's degree preferred. - 1+ year of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience required.
- Familiarity with MRP, JIT, Kanban systems, and ERP systems (Macola preferred).
