Position: Match Day Operations Associate

Location: Richardson, TX – In-Office / Field-Based

Reports to: Match Day Operations Coordinator

Position Type: Full-Time

Position Summary

The Match Day Operations Associate supports Atlético Dallas & Dallas Trinity FC matchday operations through venue readiness, event setup, equipment management, and operational logistics.

Working closely with the Match Day Operations Coordinator, this role serves as a hands-on operational resource responsible for ensuring assigned stadium spaces, equipment, signage, and matchday assets are prepared and in place. The Associate will proactively identify operational needs, execute assigned responsibilities, and communicate updates or concerns to the Match Day Operations Coordinator.

Primary Responsibilities

Match Day Preparation & Venue Readiness

  • Facilitate venue walkthroughs to confirm assigned operational areas are prepared and meet matchday standards.
  • Identify missing assets, setup needs, and operational concerns ahead of matchday.
  • Support final venue walkthroughs with the Match Day Operations Coordinator and provide updates on completed and outstanding items.
  • Verify readiness of assigned matchday spaces, including locker rooms, hospitality areas, concourses, Fan Zone areas, credential locations, signage, and other operational spaces.
  • Assist with resolving outstanding setup needs prior to opening gates.

Match Day
-1 & Event Setup

  • Lead the physical placement of approved matchday signage, banners, seat kills, and other operational materials according to established layouts.
  • Serve as a primary hands-on setup resource for the Operations team.
  • Support Fan Zone setup by ensuring required equipment, materials, and operational needs are prepared and in place.
  • Assist with parking readiness, directional signage, and Fair Park operational setup.
  • Confirm completed setup items and communicate outstanding needs to the Match Day Operations Coordinator.

Equipment & Inventory Management

  • Manage matchday Operations equipment, storage organization, and inventory tracking.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure equipment and supplies are organized and easily accessible.
  • Prepare required equipment and operational materials ahead of each home match.
  • Monitor equipment condition and coordinate repair, maintenance, or replacement needs.
  • Coordinate transportation of Operations equipment between storage, the stadium, and club events.
  • Assist with loading, unloading, setup, breakdown, and movement of equipment.
  • Ensure equipment is returned, inventoried, and properly stored following matches and events.

Matchday Operations Support

  • Monitor assigned operational areas throughout the event and proactively identify issues.
  • Support vendors, staff, and internal departments with operational needs.
  • Execute operational adjustments as directed by the Match Day Operations Coordinator.
  • Communicate updates, challenges, and potential solutions to the Match Day Operations Coordinator.
  • Assist with post-match breakdown, equipment returns, and venue closeout.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational setup and execution for future matches.

Qualifications

  • Experience in sports, events, venue operations, logistics, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and ability to identify needs before they become issues.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently within an established operational plan.
  • Comfortable performing hands-on event setup and breakdown.
  • Valid driver's license and clear background check.
  • Ability to lift and transport equipment and work outdoors as needed.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and Atlético Dallas & Dallas Trinity FC home matches as required.
