Manager of Field Service and Fleet Program – Richardson, TX

Join Wireless CCTV (WCCTV) as our Manager of Field Service and Fleet Program. You will lead a team of Field Service Technicians responsible for the installation, servicing, and repair of the company’s mobile surveillance security systems, while also managing the fleet of service vehicles to ensure timely maintenance and repairs.

Location & Travel

The position is based at WCCTV’s headquarters in Richardson, Texas. You will travel regularly to other company locations in San Marcos, Texas;
Houston, Texas;
Ontario, California; as well as to customer sites throughout Texas and neighboring states.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Manage daily operations of Field Service teams across multiple regions, ensuring on-time delivery, installation, and high customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure efficient field service operations—manpower scheduling, resource allocation, and process optimization.
  • Act as escalation point for on‑site technical issues, coordinating with internal support when needed.
  • Conduct periodic field visits to assess team performance and customer interactions.
  • Oversee completion of service sign‑off paperwork in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Handle all financial aspects of the team: audit and approve timecards, overtime, travel, and other expenses.
  • Provide training and instruction to new hires and ongoing development for existing staff; conduct regular skills assessments.
  • Deliver regular feedback and performance reviews, including probationary and quarterly reviews.
  • Maintain department standards for productivity, reliability, safety, and accuracy.
  • Develop and monitor safety policies and procedures relevant to field service.
  • Ensure use of personal protective equipment by all field staff.
  • Participate in recruitment, onboarding, and performance management of all staff.
  • Establish controls and feedback systems to monitor and improve team operations.
  • Create and utilize KPI data to measure productivity and goal achievement; develop countermeasures for underperformance.
  • Use company platforms (Telematics, Zoho) to track KPI and technician performance.
  • Implement departmental improvements to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
  • Update field service processes and documentation as required.
  • Support New Product Development (NPD) with training resources for new products.
Fleet Management Responsibilities
  • Oversee fleet maintenance operations, ensuring all vehicles are serviced, inspected, and ready for deployment.
  • Assess vehicle life expectancy to advise on acquisition or upgrades; coordinate with finance.
  • Coordinate insurance claims with finance.
  • Manage company tools inventory and vehicle equipment.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree in electronics or related discipline preferred.
  • Minimum five years of field installation and service experience in electronic security, telecom, solar, or similar industry.
  • Basic to advanced knowledge of computer networks (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, gateways, routers, switches).
  • Minimum three to five years of supervisory or management experience, managing remote field staff across multiple U.S. states.
  • Experience with high‑growth field staff expansion and implementation/development of new locations.
  • Prior fleet maintenance experience and strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance regulations.
  • Experience facilitating technical training and skills assessments preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead, train, and motivate a diverse team to achieve high production levels under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to use KPIs to drive safety, efficiency, and cost improvements.
  • Computer skills: MS Office (Word, Powerpoint, Excel), Outlook, Teams; experience with CRM/ERP systems.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, time‑management, and detail‑orientation skills.
  • Valid driver’s license; ability to rent vehicles through car rental agencies.
  • Must possess work authorization to work in the U.S.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Competitive salary: $90,000‑$110,000 per year, depending on experience.
  • 10 days paid vacation (increases with length of service) + seven paid company holidays.
