Overview

This company is specifically seeking candidates with Active-Duty U.S. military experience

Korn Ferry Military has partnered with our client on their search for a Program Manager at their Richardson TX manufacturing facility.

This is a tremendous opportunity for GROWTH in a long-term career – the role offers responsibility, visibility and a clear path to broader Leadership within a stable, well-run company; it is intentionally designed as a feeder into Business Manager.

A BS in Engineering, Science, or Math is required, though the role is much broader than pure Engineering. Electrical or Mechanical Engineering backgrounds are highly preferred and will give you a huge advantage over other candidates!

Compensation: $90, (DOE)

What You Will Do

This is a hands-on business and operations role, not a coordinator position. Program Managers own customer programs end-to-end, working across engineering, quality, materials, and manufacturing to deliver on commitments. At a high level, the role exists to:

  • Take real workload off Business Managers
  • Own customer programs through development, production, and delivery
  • Build future leaders for the organization

Will report directly to a Business Manager, who owns an entire business unit and reports to the President. This is a small leadership team with high accountability and visibility. What that means day to day:

  • Regular access to senior leadership
  • Weekly or bi-weekly check-ins focused on priorities and execution
  • Direct, in-person communication rather than layers of process

This is a fully onsite manufacturing environment. Work happens in person, alongside engineering, quality, and production teams.

  • Days that change based on customer and operational priorities
  • Problems that require judgment, not just escalation
  • An expectation to understand what matters most and act accordingly

Training is mentorship-driven and largely on the job. Early on, Program Managers shadow experienced Business Managers. Over time, ownership is transferred, and the Program Manager becomes the primary point of accountability for assigned customers.

Strong performers typically take on additional programs and, over time, move into roles with full operational and financial responsibility.

Education and Work Experience
  • At least 4 years Active-Duty US Military experience required
  • BS in Engineering, Science, or Math required.
  • Electrical or Mechanical Engineering backgrounds highly preferred, but this role is broader than pure Engineering.
  • Prefer experience in the electronics industry – semiconductor is ideal.
