Job Summary
This position is responsible for leading the Medicaid Strategy team. Primary functions consist of enabling our state Medicaid RFPs from content generation to formal submission, identifying strategic opportunities for cost saving/value deriving initiatives, and supporting divisional planning to ensure alignment across enterprise and matrixed partners.
Desired Outcomes of the Role- RFP management and support – Further perpetuate our Medicaid value story, curating our content library and leveraging market intelligence to position our bids for success.
- Sound evaluation – Bridge the gap between data driven insights and actionable implementation activities to identify a pipeline of legitimate concepts for leadership review.
- Strategic Preparation – Support our state Medicaid VPs and impacted leadership to effectively prepare for new state/federal legislation, supplying a strategic lens on how to digest requirements and efficiently plan for the future state operating model.
- Goal Setting – In partnership with leadership and divisional partners establish yearly and quarterly goals that are realistic quantifiable and can be reported upon to display progress.
- Executive Forums – Display strong written and verbal communication skills, with a strong acumen in presentation generation.
- Lead with Curiosity – Influence a team of strategic thinkers to prioritize probing questions and build a culture that harbors creative solutioning.
- Bachelor degree and 5+ years experience in health care, health insurance, or strategic consulting environment.
- Experience with strategic planning, strategy development, analytics and research.
- Experience with Retail Markets.
- Experience leading and mentoring staff.
- Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with interacting.
- Background in administration of contracts for State and Federal Government.
- Experience managing vendor relationships.
- Medicaid RFP experience.
- Understanding of state/federal Medicaid regulations.
- Data fluency across utilization, financial and quality metrics to guide decision‑making.
- Effective project management skills to accommodate a diversified workload.
