Job Summary:
Senior Manager, Contracts within the Air & Space Defense Systems (ASDS) Strategic Business Unit. The role develops contract strategy and executes within the Space, Intelligence, Surveillance, & Reconnaissance Sub‑Strategic Business Unit (SSBU). It is an individual‑contributor position supporting program area directors, reporting directly to the Associate Director, Contracts.
- Manage the development of both commercial and government proposals, negotiations, contractual agreements, contract execution, and day‑to‑day administration.
- Provide contractual guidance to senior management concerning obligations, rights, obligations, and risk mitigation.
- Ensure contractual scope and terms align with overall contract scope and customer requirements.
- Build positive customer relationships and resolve contractual matters while engaging Program Managers, Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, and other functions.
- Communicate with senior leadership on matters of strategic importance and provide guidance on contractual and business issues.
- University degree or equivalent experience with minimum 10 years relevant experience, or advanced degree with minimum 7 years experience.
- Experience with U.S. Government and/or Defense contracts management and administration.
- Knowledge of acquisition regulations such as FAR/DFARS and other customer supplementals.
- Experience with U.S. Government acquisitions and/or proposal activities, including sole‑source and competitive proposals.
- Self‑starter with positive energy who thrives in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills to work with internal and external stakeholders, including customers and leadership.
- Critical thinker with strong risk assessment skills and the ability to deliver timely solutions.
- Passion for engaging new and innovative business opportunities with the ability to handle multiple projects and pivot quickly.
- Prior experience with commercial contracts, including development of special commercial terms and intellectual property rights.

Salary range: 132,400 USD – 251,600 USD.
