The Role
Carrier Rental Systems Depot Manager is responsible for building a solutions‑oriented team that can provide customers with the necessary service required to achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales and profitability objectives. We are seeking an experienced, motivated rentals depot manager for our Dallas, Texas location to plan and execute on innovative solutions for customers across a large demographic area.
Responsibilities- Establish, assign, and adjust work methods and procedures to meet schedules using knowledge of capacities and capabilities of depot personnel.
- Ensure technicians’ daily activities are scheduled.
- Perform regular depot audits to ensure quality equipment repair and testing, and communicate with technicians regarding improvements or areas of concern.
- Oversee management to ensure timely and accurate depot purchasing, booking, invoicing, and collections processes.
- Collect quotes from vendors for parts or repair options and communicate with Regional Leadership concerning Best Fix Options.
- Ensure budgeting guidelines are met; prioritize expenditures to stay within budget.
- Assist the sales department in selection and application of proper equipment and accessories for complex rentals.
- Provide technical support to the sales department, both at the depot and job‑site visits.
- Engage directly with external customers and vendors when a conflict or issue occurs.
- Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, engineers, and others concerning equipment operations or maintenance.
- Initiate measures to improve methods, equipment performance and quality of work.
- Inspect work in process to ensure its completion within allotted time limits and acceptable quality standards.
- Conduct formal operations meetings regularly.
- Ensure fleet readiness, accessories and spare‑parts inventories are at acceptable levels and that equipment fleet and accessories are accurate and up to date in the systems.
- Review all written labor documents regularly.
- Direct and guide lead service technicians to prioritize labor hours on a daily and weekly basis.
- High School Diploma/GED.
- 5+ years of experience leading, developing and coaching a team.
- 3+ years of experience in the Commercial Rental Equipment industry.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Experience managing a P&L.
- Chiller or HVAC product experience.
- Customer mindset.
- Strong focus on technical, operations and logistics.
The annual salary for this position is between $96,000.00 and $. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.
Other CompensationThis position is entitled to short‑term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
