Position: Senior Manager, Procurement (Hybrid)

Position Summary

Senior Procurement Manager responsible for leading a virtual team of procurement professionals across a variety of commodities to support RTX.

Responsibilities
  • Execute long‑term strategy and vision of the organization through team leadership and collaboration.
  • Develop strategies and influence performance results on key metrics to drive efficiencies.
  • Serve as an escalation path for customers and stakeholders, engaging in problem resolution.
  • Provide oversight and daily direction to procurement professionals and leaders.
  • Assess team and individual performance and provide feedback and coaching.
  • Organize workload across the team, assign backlog, problem‑solve and handle escalations for negotiations and various issues.
  • Review purchase order documentation against work instructions and policy.
  • Influence stakeholders inside and outside the organization on policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Increase knowledge sharing and collaboration across teams.
  • Streamline procurement processes, remove barriers, support internal customer requirements and utilize metrics to implement improvements.
  • Act as a valued business partner to provide solutions, alternative approaches, and reduce cost impacts to the business.
  • Track, report, and present projects and team metrics to leadership.
  • Generate a strong focus on customer relationships while motivating team members to deliver internal objectives.
  • Promote a culture of high performance and innovation to attract, develop, and retain top talent and achieve business objectives.
  • Drive change management and transformation initiatives.
  • Mentor, train, and develop the team for career progression.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business management, engineering, or a related field with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 7 years of experience (Master’s degree or MBA is a plus).
  • Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience leading a team of professionals.
  • Experience working in supply chain compliance, procurement, and supplier management.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of RTX’s supply‑chain systems and SAP purchasing tools.
  • Experience with DoD procurement/subcontract compliance under Public Laws, Policies, FAR/DFAR, and ITAR, and negotiating terms and conditions.
  • Highly organized, able to balance competing priorities, with strong collaboration skills and the ability to operate effectively in a matrix environment.
  • Ability to analyze complex problems, interpret operational needs, and develop compliant and sustainable solutions.
  • Data‑driven approach with significant experience using metrics to drive performance.
  • Outstanding communication, strong presentation skills, and keen attention to detail.
  • Self‑starter with excellent customer relationships and interpersonal skills, capable of building effective networks with internal and external customers.
Benefits & Compensation

Salary range: $132,400 – $251,600 per year. The total rewards package includes compensation, healthcare, wellness, retirement, work/life benefits, career development and recognition programs, parental (including paternal) leave, flexible work schedules, achievement awards, educational assistance, and child/adult backup care.

Work Location

This is a hybrid role. Eligible candidates must reside within commuting distance of Richardson, TX, Farmington, CT, Cedar Rapids, IA, Andover, MA, McKinney, TX, or Tucson, AZ.
