Position Overview
The University of Texas at Dallas seeks an accomplished, visionary, and analytically sophisticated leader to serve as its next Vice President for Enrollment Strategy (VPES). Reporting directly to the Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost, the Vice President serves as the University’s chief architect of enrollment strategy, responsible for aligning enrollment decisions with the University’s academic aspirations, research trajectory, student success goals, institutional reputation, and long-term financial sustainability.

At one of the nation’s fastest-rising public research universities, enrollment strategy is more than an operational function—it is a strategic imperative. As one of the University’s principal strategic leaders, the Vice President will help shape institutional strategy by bringing deep expertise regarding enrollment markets, demographic trends, workforce needs, academic capacity, and the evolving higher education landscape. Working collaboratively across Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, Finance, Strategic Initiatives, Institutional Intelligence, University Communications, Global Engagement, and the academic schools, the Vice President will lead a comprehensive Strategic Enrollment Management enterprise that intentionally shapes the size, composition, quality, and success of the University’s student body while advancing academic excellence, research distinction, innovation, and public impact.

The Vice President provides executive leadership for Undergraduate Admissions and Enrollment Management, the Office of the Registrar, and Financial Aid while cultivating a culture of innovation, collaboration, transparency, evidence-informed decision making, continuous improvement, and institutional stewardship.

The Vice President for Enrollment Strategy will be a strategic and visionary leader who inspires innovation while building collaborative partnerships across the institution. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional analytical and data-informed decision-making, a steadfast commitment to academic excellence and student success, and the ability to lead complex initiatives with integrity, sound judgment, and responsible stewardship. This executive will serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
