Position Overview
The Production Supervisor oversees daily manufacturing operations to ensure safety, quality, and productivity objectives are consistently met. This role leads, develops, and supports a production team of 5–30 employees, driving accountability through Lean, Six Sigma, and 5S principles. The position directly impacts operational excellence and continuous improvement within the department.
What you’ll do- Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet safety, quality, and delivery requirements.
- Report daily production metrics, issues, and improvement actions to upper management.
- Ensure all employees follow standard operating procedures and safety protocols.
- Plan and adjust work assignments and production schedules to meet production demands.
- Utilize Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvement and waste reduction.
- Maintain compliance with 5S standards and promote visual management practices.
- Monitor production metrics, analyze performance data, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Conduct performance evaluations, attendance tracking, and disciplinary actions in accordance with company policy.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Minimum of 5 years of recent experience as a Production Supervisor or in a comparable manufacturing leadership role.
- Demonstrated experience leading teams within a Lean or Six Sigma environment.
- Experience in high-volume or custom manufacturing.
- Solid understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, and 5S methodologies and their practical application.
- Proficiency with ERP systems, production reporting, and Microsoft Office tools.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to manage and motivate diverse teams.
- Ability to troubleshoot process issues and implement effective solutions in real time.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe, efficient, and high-performing work environment.
- Adaptability and flexibility in dynamic environments.
- Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on operational excellence.
- Annual base salary: $75,000
- Bonus target range: 10%
