Position Summary

Lockwood Distilling Co. is seeking a detail‑oriented Production Compliance & Quality Technician to support production, blending, bottling, quality control, inventory accuracy, and regulatory compliance. This position will work closely with the production and compliance teams to ensure products are produced, documented, tracked, and entered into company systems accurately.

This role is ideal for someone with hands‑on production experience who understands the importance of accuracy, documentation, quality checks, and continuous learning in a regulated distilled spirits environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate daily production, bottling, blending, and quality records.
  • Perform regular bottle fill tests and document results accurately.
  • Operate proofing equipment. Experience using the Rudolph Alco Test‑RI machine is a plus.
  • Conduct QC/QA checks throughout blending, bottling, and packaging operations.
  • Verify lot codes, bottle codes, labels, case markings, and finished goods information before and during production.
  • Perform pre‑production checks to confirm correct liquid, labels, bottles, closures, cartons, and case counts.
  • Perform line checks throughout bottling runs to ensure fill levels, proof, labels, caps, seals, and packaging meet standards.
  • Help ensure formulas, recipes, proofing, and blending instructions are followed accurately.
  • Lead blending operations using approved recipes, formulas, and batch instructions.
  • Maintain traceability of raw materials, blends, finished goods, and production lots.
  • Produce samples, retain bottles, batch records, and quality control logs.
  • Support the compliance team with documentation needed for TTB, TABC, audits, reports, and internal reviews.
  • Enter production, blending, and inventory information into company systems such as Ekos, Distill

    X5, CRAFTED ERP, or similar platforms.
  • Inventory tracking and reconciliation for raw materials, work‑in‑progress blends, packaging materials, and finished goods.
  • Identify inventory discrepancies and communicate issues to production, compliance, and operations leadership.
  • Create accurate movement of materials and finished goods between production, storage, and inventory systems.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant production/QC work area.
  • Support the regulatory compliance team by performing various production‑related compliance tasks as needed.
  • Continuously learn and develop a stronger understanding of TTB, TABC, internal SOPs, and company compliance requirements.
  • Assist on the bottling line as needed, including setup, operation, monitoring, changeovers, and general production support.
Qualifications
  • Prior experience in spirits, beverage, food manufacturing, packaging, or a regulated production environment preferred.
  • Experience operating or supporting a bottling, labeling, capping, or packaging line preferred.
  • Experience with proofing equipment, hydrometers, density meters, or similar lab/quality instruments preferred.
  • Experience using Rudolph Alco Test‑RI or similar proofing machinery is a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with TTB, TABC, or other alcohol beverage compliance requirements is a plus.
  • Experience with blending, batching, recipes, formulas, or liquid production preferred.
  • Inventory tracking or ERP system experience preferred.
  • Experience with Ekos, Distill

    X5, CRAFTED ERP, or similar systems is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy with documentation.
  • Ability to follow SOPs, batch instructions, formulas, and production schedules.
  • Comfortable working with numbers, measurements, case counts, lot codes, and production records.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally with production, compliance, inventory, and operations teams.
  • Willingness to learn and grow within production, quality, inventory, and regulatory compliance.
