Summary

Serves as an experienced technical contributor, responsible for maintaining equipment reliability and process efficiency. This role involves advanced troubleshooting, monitoring critical process parameters, and implementing process improvements. While working with moderate autonomy, they act as a resource for less-experienced technicians and escalate only the most complex issues.

Detailed Description
  • Perform complex maintenance on production equipment (mechanical, electromechanical, and electronic systems) using diagnostic tools and technical documentation.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and process issues to identify root causes and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Support equipment lifecycle including installation, calibration, repair, and upgrades, documenting all changes.
  • Monitor and adjust process parameters to ensure product quality and consistency.
  • Collaborate with teams (engineering, quality, production) on process improvements and new product introductions.
  • Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities and equipment performance.
  • Provide technical guidance and coaching to less-experienced technicians.
  • Contribute to safety reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist in developing standard operating procedures and maintenance documentation.
  • Strong technical understanding of manufacturing equipment (mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, electromechanical).
  • Proficient in interpreting technical documentation (drawings, schematics, manuals).
  • Skilled in using diagnostic tools and measurement instruments.
  • Solid knowledge of equipment operation and process monitoring, including process control tools.
  • Effective troubleshooting skills for complex equipment/process issues.
  • Familiarity with quality standards, EHS requirements, and documentation best practices.
  • Competent computer skills for reporting and maintenance management.
  • Clear communication skills for technical information.
Physical Demands
  • Duties of the position are performed in a manufacturing environment with frequent exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, operating machinery, temperature extremes, hazardous substances, etc.
  • Duties require extended periods of sustained visual concentration on detailed documentation and product assemblies.
  • Duties require periodic light physical effort and exertion including prolonged repetitive motions, sitting in confined work spaces, using tools and equipment, and moving and handling materials.
  • Duties may require periodic heavy manual effort including lifting objects over 20 pounds.
Typical Experience

Four to five years’ relevant experience.

Typical Education

High school diploma and additional courses after high school, or an equivalent combination of education and experience and a commitment towards further / additional education.
