Quality Control Technician
The Quality Control Technician is responsible for performing product inspections using magnified visual aids and mechanical measuring devices to ensure products meet internal and customer technical data package requirements. This role involves analyzing technical data packages, such as assembly instructions, engineering drawings, schematics, bills of materials, and specifications to identify and resolve issues affecting product configuration, assign necessary rework actions, and approve production products for the next operation.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and resolve issues affecting product configuration.
- Assign rework actions necessary to rework production products.
- Accept and approve production product work-in-process for the next assigned operation.
Essential
Skills:
- Ability to work in a self-directed manner in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in computer-based applications.
- Experience with electronic assembly, including SMT, T/H, and mechanical.
- Ability to operate visual magnification devices and interpret basic electronic and mechanical measuring devices.
Additional Skills &
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Basic math skills.
- Acceptable visual acuity and eye-hand coordination.
- Must have or be able to acquire operator certification for IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001.
- Ability to review and interpret technical data packages for electronic assemblies.
- Experience with first article inspection (FAI) and knowledge of AS9102 standards.
- Familiarity with using blueprints, calipers, micrometers, and conducting quality control.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richardson, TX.
Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $27.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
