Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Process Engineering Technician to join a leading semiconductor client in Dallas, TX. The Process Technician is responsible for supporting engineering builds, DOE (Design of Experiments) activities, and prototype assembly lots within a semiconductor manufacturing environment. This role programs and operates a variety of assembly equipment, including molding, grinding, sawing, laser, and coating tools, while ensuring processes run efficiently and meet quality standards.
The technician actively troubleshoots equipment and process issues, performs preventive maintenance, changeovers, and basic repairs, and works closely with engineering and production teams to maintain tool readiness and production continuity.
Additionally, the role supports data collection, root cause investigations, and yield improvement initiatives by analyzing process performance and implementing corrective actions. Responsibilities also include maintaining accurate documentation, updating work instructions and production logs, providing technical training and support to operators, and identifying opportunities to improve processes, reduce cycle times, and increase overall manufacturing efficiency.

- Associate degree in a technical field (or equivalent military experience)
~3-7 years semiconductor manufacturing or similar high-tech environment
- Hands-on aptitude is critical - must be comfortable working directly on tools and solving issues in real time
-Strong mechanical/electrical aptitude - Semiconductor assembly processes (die attach, wire bond, molding, singulation, wafer thin/saw, die pick, etc.)
- Prototype / NPI or high-mix, low-volume manufacturing
- Basic understanding of SPC, DOE, and yield analysis
