Registered Nurse - Intermediate Care Unit

Job Purpose

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school; BSN preferred.
• Current Texas nursing license.
• Current Basic Life Support certification.
• Additional certifications as required by the department.

• Knowledge of hospital policies, procedures, and nursing care standards.
• Minimum 12 months of RN experience or completion of a Nurse Residency Program.
• Experience handling confidential material.

• Lead the nursing aspects of patient/family education.
• Ensure accurate and timely written communication of patient information.
• Administer medications and IV therapy safely.
• Utilize the nursing process to provide quality patient care throughout the episode of care.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
