Job Summary

Accountable for delivering consistent, safe, high quality care to all laboring patients from admission to post delivery. Familiar with vaginal and C section births, fetal monitoring, and anesthesia management. Demonstrates expertise in peri operative care, postoperative recovery, and newborn care for the first two hours of life.

Qualifications
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support credential within 90 days of employment start date.
  • Advanced Fetal Monitoring credential within one year of employment start date.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support credential within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Intermediate Fetal Monitoring credential within one year of employment start date.
  • Neonate Resuscitation credential within 90 days of employment start date.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) licensed in the State of Texas (compact or multistate license accepted).
  • Associate Degree required; BSN required within 24 months of hire or transfer into the RN position.
  • Minimum three (3) years recent experience as an RN in Women’s Services in a hospital environment (L D, Mother-Baby, Antepartum).
  • Ability to care for women of childbearing age and infants up to four (4) years old.
  • Participation in an on call schedule.
  • Experience in Labor and Delivery (L

    D).
