Job Summary and QualificationsThis position will be accountable for the Maternal Fetal Institute (MFI) Clinic and accepts responsibility for all department functions of the Specialty Obstetric Referral Center (SORC). It requires an RN license and responsibility for critical thinking decisions within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act. This role oversees the Antepartum department and manages all department functions to support the hospital mission, vision, and facility goals.
The manager identifies cost‑effective systems, establishes working relationships with all constituencies, and is responsible for fiscal and human resource allocation. The manager develops plans of care for services based upon RN assessment/reassessment and maintains all required staff nurse responsibilities in times of high census or minimal staffing.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) AHA or ARC
- Intermediate Fetal Monitoring (AWHONN) obtained within 1 year of employment start date
- Neonate Resuscitate (NRP) obtained within 90 days of employment start date
- Registered Nurse licensed in Texas (Compact accepted)
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required; MBA or MHA preferred
- Minimum 3 years of RN practice in the NICU or OB area required
- Recent management/supervisory experience in an acute care environment
- Comprehensive medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, behavioral health, and telemedicine coverage
