RN Progressive Care Unit

Medical City Healthcare seeks an RN for our Progressive Care Unit in Healthcare & Medical Services. The RN delivers high-quality, evidence-based care to acutely ill adults requiring close monitoring, advanced assessments, and complex interventions. Responsibilities include managing telemetry, titrating medications, coordinating with interdisciplinary teams, and educating patients and families. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, calm under pressure, and committed to patient-centered care, safety, and continuous learning within a collaborative hospital environment.

• Provide direct nursing care to progressive care/step-down patients
• Continuously monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry
• Administer and titrate IV medications per protocols
• Perform comprehensive assessments and respond rapidly to changes in condition
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team on care plans
• Educate patients and families on disease processes and discharge plans
• Document care accurately in the electronic health record (EHR)
• Adhere to patient safety, infection control, and hospital policies
• Participate in quality improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives
• Precept and support new staff as needed
