American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring TX or compact RN licensure and prior ER experience with a 1:4 patient ratio.

• Combined Adult/Pediatric General Emergency Department setting
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM-7:30 AM)
• Weekend and holiday shifts required
• Epic EMR experience required

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of ER experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC
• Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Charge RN experience preferred
• Skilled in starting/maintaining IVs, blood product administration, ABG interpretation, and 12-lead EKG acquisition
• Experience managing dysrhythmias and multisystem organ dysfunction patients
• Skilled in triage and isolation precautions/PPE
• State-issued  for consideration
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration

• Facility is STEMI and Stroke Certified
• Care for patients presenting with trauma, cardiac, neurological, psychiatric, and pediatric emergencies, including gunshot wounds and traumatic amputations
• Skills in managing violent behavior, psychiatric holds, and suicidal patients preferred
• Experience with splinting and orthopedic trauma preferred
• Compliance modules must be completed prior to start, with remaining modules finished during orientation and annually thereafter
• RTO limited to 5 non-consecutive days, with only one holiday RTO request permitted during the Nov-Jan holiday season, subject to management approval prior to contract signing
• Candidates residing within 90 miles are considered local and accepted at a lower bill rate
• First-time travelers not considered for this role
