Assistant Quality Systems Manager – Richardson, TX

This role focuses on supporting Jabil’s Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and customer requirements.
Responsibilities- Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of quality system documentation, including procedures, work instructions, and forms.
- Support internal and external audits (ISO, FDA, customer audits) by preparing documentation, facilitating audit activities, and tracking corrective actions.
- Participate in the investigation and resolution of quality-related issues such as non‑conformances, CAPAs, and customer complaints.
- Monitor and analyze quality metrics and data to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and potential risks.
- Contribute to the training and education of employees on quality system requirements and best practices.
- Support the management review process by preparing data and reports.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain) to ensure quality system integration and effectiveness.
- Perform periodic reviews of quality system processes to ensure ongoing suitability and effectiveness.
- Stay informed about relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices in quality management.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a quality assurance or quality systems role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in electronics or medical devices.
- Solid understanding of QMS principles and methodologies (ISO 9001, ISO 13485, AS9100).
- Experience participating in internal or external audits.
- Familiarity with root cause analysis techniques and problem‑solving methodologies.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
- Detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Willingness to travel up to 10%.
