Assistant Quality Systems Manager – Richardson, TX

This role focuses on supporting Jabil’s Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and customer requirements.

• Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of quality system documentation, including procedures, work instructions, and forms.
• Support internal and external audits (ISO, FDA, customer audits) by preparing documentation, facilitating audit activities, and tracking corrective actions.
• Participate in the investigation and resolution of quality-related issues such as non‑conformances, CAPAs, and customer complaints.
• Monitor and analyze quality metrics and data to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and potential risks.
• Contribute to the training and education of employees on quality system requirements and best practices.
• Support the management review process by preparing data and reports.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain) to ensure quality system integration and effectiveness.
• Perform periodic reviews of quality system processes to ensure ongoing suitability and effectiveness.
• Stay informed about relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices in quality management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a quality assurance or quality systems role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in electronics or medical devices.
• Solid understanding of QMS principles and methodologies (ISO 9001, ISO 13485, AS9100).
• Experience participating in internal or external audits.
• Familiarity with root cause analysis techniques and problem‑solving methodologies.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
• Detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.
