Overview
The Sherwin-Williams Floor covering Management & Sales Training Program is an accelerated, entry-level position designed to prepare you for a Floor covering Facility Management or Sales Representative role in 18-24 months. With Sherwin-Williams' promote-from-within philosophy, you will have the opportunity to progress into a Floor covering Operations Manager or Field Technician position upon completing the initial 8-to-12-week training. With a national footprint, Sherwin Williams Floor covering serves professional clients in all major markets throughout the United States, providing you with career flexibility and consistent growth opportunities.
This program includes information about the Floor covering Division and the services provided to customers nationwide.
This position has a typical schedule of 44 hours per week, which may include evenings and/or weekends.
Upon successful completion of the Floor covering Management & Sales Training Program, candidates will be placed into either a Floor covering Operations Manager or Floor covering Field Technician position in one of the following states:
Oklahoma, Texas.
- During the program, partner with facility leadership, sales, and regional management to oversee a multi-million-dollar business, providing leadership and insight into development and strategy of the facility.
- Gain knowledge in facility operations, core products, installation techniques, customer service, and client development to understand the role you will play in the team’s success.
- Assist in growing the company’s market share by partnering with and selling floor covering materials to commercial customers, such as large property management companies, builders, and renovation contractors.
- Develop an understanding of the organizational structures of customers in key market segments and interact with individuals responsible for procurement, community management, project management, maintenance, and property development.
- Complete training consistent with the established program and support business strategies to increase sales and optimize profitability.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service and maintain knowledge of all products to enable effective customer recommendations.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with wholesale and retail customers and complete store administration.
- Ensure compliance with policies and procedures including safety, loss prevention, and security; maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards, including promotional packages and sales floor displays.
- Support employee training, development, performance management, and corrective action; respond to and resolve any customer and/or employee complaints.
- Partner with Store Manager to make outside sales calls to increase market share.
