• Provide excellent customer service in the bakery department.
• Assist customers with bakery purchases, take special orders, and work with the Baker to determine items needing baking or decoration.
• Maintain cleanliness of the bakery area, including cleaning shelves, display cases, rotating self‑serve displays, and hosing down floors with soap and water.
• Support the Baker in preparing, handling, and serving food. Food Handler Card or equivalent certification required.
• Lift and/or move up to 60 pounds as needed.

• Ability to read and write Spanish and English, and communicate with the general public and co‑workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uncomplicated written or oral instructions.
• Pass basic PC/Outlook skills and have a Retail Management Certificate (preferred).
