Sales Engineer

We are working with a fast-growing telecommunications organization seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to join their team in Richardson, TX. This role is ideal for a customer-facing technical expert who thrives in front of stakeholders and enjoys shaping complex optical networking solutions. You will play a critical role in driving revenue by acting as a trusted technical advisor to enterprise and service provider customers.

• Lead technical discussions with customers, translating business requirements into optical network solutions
• Act as a trusted technical advisor throughout the sales cycle
• Design and plan optical networks, including architecture, link budgets, and component selection
• Provide vendor-neutral recommendations to ensure the best technical fit
• Partner closely with sales teams to develop technically sound proposals
• Deliver customer presentations, product demonstrations, and technical workshops
• Support pricing models, proposals, and statements of work
• Stay current with emerging optical technologies and industry trends

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in optical networking or sales engineering
• Strong background supporting or selling OEM optical or networking products
• Deep understanding of optical fiber principles and optical network design
• Working knowledge of Layer 2/3 networking such as OSPF, BGP, MPLS, and EVPN
• Confident communicator with strong presentation and stakeholder management skills
