Producer Sales Consultant

Job Summary

Responsible for new sales of individual health insurance products and ancillary products by assigned producers (brokers and general agents) for an assigned sales territory. Recruit and select new producers. Accountable for attaining new sales growth goals, facilitating training, reviewing performance of external producers, and building relationships while ensuring timely service.

• New sales of individual health insurance products and ancillary products via assigned producers.
• Recruit and select new producers.

• Build and maintain relationships with producers and ensure timely service.

• Bachelor's degree OR minimum 2 years health insurance sales experience including managing brokerage and/or field sales staff.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal proficiency, building relationships, developing presentations and interviewing.
• Proficiency with PC applications such as Microsoft Office and databases.
• Obtain a general agent insurance license within the first 3 months or currently possess an active department of insurance license from the state of residence or reciprocity.
• Pass the HCSC Medicare Certification exam or be currently certified having passed the HCSC Medicare Certification program within the past year.

• MBA or Master’s degree in Health Administration.
• Demonstrated experience in meeting and/or exceeding sales goals.
• Knowledge of the health insurance industry, the producer community and Consumer Markets products.
• Marketing skills.

• Interviewing and selection skills.
