Sales Administrator

Location: Richardson, TX

Pay Range: $28 to $37 per hour (actual base pay based on factors such as relevant experience, education, market, qualifications, and skills)

Kyocera International, Inc. is hiring a Sales Administrator to manage incoming customer inquiries and support the outside sales force with daily sales administration activities. The role includes accurately processing a high volume of orders, invoicing all sales transactions, setting pricing, and verifying contracts. The Administrator works directly with the customer on bookings and maintains wide communication with the Vice President and internal staff.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

The Sales Administrator supports the sales department by processing orders, managing contracts, and interacting with customers and internal teams. The administrator may also serve as the final point of contact for prices, delivery dates, and customer expedites, and may handle small customer accounts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Enter and maintain sales records, verify accuracy of sales and credit information, and liaise with Japan colleagues via email or video call.
  • Act as a liaison between customers and production for problem‑solving and expediting local orders.
  • Perform order fulfillment from intake to delivery using the SAP system.
  • Prepare and maintain status reports and tracking tools.
  • Travel to customer sites, attend trade shows, or otherwise support sales activity within the account base.
  • Train sales support team on duties, modeling the "customer first" principle.
  • Travel with or without outside sales staff on business development activities.
  • Generate monthly reports on shipments, sales orders, cancellations, and transfers.
  • Collaborate with Logistics to confirm timely deliveries.
  • Commit to meeting or exceeding sales targets and reporting deviations or trends.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills, prioritize work, and meet deadlines while supporting multiple outside sales reps.
  • Plan sales events as assigned.
  • REQUIREMENTS
    • 2‑year AA degree in Business Administration or equivalent experience.
    • 5+ years of sales support or related experience in manufacturing or technical industry.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Intermediate SAP or other ERP experience.
    • Ability to work accurately with high attention to detail.
    • Up to 10% travel, local and domestic.
    • Intermediate computer skills, including Excel and PowerPoint.
    • Outstanding organizational and multitasking skills.
    • Eligibility to work in an ITAR environment.
