Outside Technical Sales Rep

Productivity Inc is seeking an Outside Technical Sales Rep to grow sales of CNC tooling and accessories for manufacturers. In this field-based role, you will call on machine shops and manufacturing plants, identifying productivity opportunities and recommending tooling, work holding, and accessory solutions. You'll collaborate with engineers, technicians, and customers on process improvements, quoting and closing projects that reduce downtime and improve throughput.

Ideal candidates bring CNC machining knowledge, strong technical sales skills, and a customer-focused, hands-on mindset.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage a territory of manufacturing customers for CNC tooling and accessories
• Prospect, qualify, and close new business with machine shops and manufacturers
• Perform on-site visits to understand applications and recommend CNC tooling solutions
• Collaborate with engineers and technicians on tooling selection, process improvements, and ROI proposals
• Prepare quotes, proposals, and presentations for CNC tooling, work holding, and accessories
• Provide technical product demos, trials, and runoffs on shop floors
• Support installations and post-sale follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction
• Maintain CRM records, sales pipeline, and accurate forecasts
• Represent Productivity Inc at trade shows, open houses, and customer events
• Provide feedback to product and engineering teams on customer needs and market trends
