Overview
Security Officer – Onsite position requiring U.S. citizenship and a current Top Secret DoD security clearance.
Location:
Richardson, Texas.

Responsibilities- Protect life and safeguard property against fire, negligence, sabotage, espionage, and other damage.
- Investigate security incidents, safety hazards, and accidents.
- Extinguish fires, direct traffic, detect, report, and detain offenders, and aid in preserving order and quelling disturbances.
- Guard assigned gates, entrances, and restricted areas to prevent unauthorized entry and departure of persons, material, equipment, and vehicles.
- Exercise tact and judgment when dealing with employees and other personnel to avoid friction and secure cooperation.
- Create detailed reports of all accidents, violations, and suspicious circumstances.
- Notify emergency response personnel, company, and non-company staff during major incidents or accidents.
- Deliver oral and written reports concerning security infractions, safety hazards, incidents, and accidents.
- Keep current on information affecting security operations by reviewing provided reports, memos, message logs, and security policies and procedures.
- Operate the security control center, electronic access gates, and various applications on company-related computers.
- U.S. citizenship required; only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance, with a current Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information clearance preferred.
- AA/AS degree or other 2‑year post‑high‑school training with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
- Must meet Texas Department of Public Safety registration and Certification requirements and obtain a Level II – Non‑Commissioned Security License.
- Experience with security techniques and equipment, and applying rules, regulations, and authority principles of security, police, and military.
- Experience reading plans and diagrams to locate departments, fire equipment, signals, valves, operating a computer, and other related equipment.
- First Aid, CPR, and AED knowledge and certification preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) preferred.
- Current TS/SSBI clearance.
- Previous training in DoD Industrial security administration, loss prevention, and fire protection.
- First Aid, CPR, and AED certification.
