Collins Aerospace is hiring a Systems Administrator for our Secure Labs support team. This position is onsite in Richardson, TX and requires a U.S. citizen with an active Secret clearance.
What You Will Do- Work with technologies including Virtualization, Servers, Clients, Networking, Storage, and Backup.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional team members and build strong relationships with customers and peers.
- Assist with escalations to resolution and participate in process improvement initiatives (LEAN/ACE/CORE).
- Facilitate resolution of service requests and restoration tickets.
- Implement technical solutions supporting assigned projects and provide support for Tier1 and Tier2 infrastructure teams.
- Foster relationships with DT peers across the domestic U.S.
- Communicate effectively with Engineering leadership.
- Provide ROI based on project performance.
- Apply knowledge and personal skills to shape projects with loose requirements.
- University degree (or advanced degree) with at least 2 years relevant experience.
- Active Secret clearance (dayone).
- Experience supporting technology in a professional/secure environment:
Desktop Support, Server Administration, Virtualization (VMware, etc.), Linux System Administration, and Networking. - Knowledge of compliance frameworks (NIST
800‑53). - Ability to obtain IAT Level
II certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+); active certification preferred.
- System administration, cloud, or related certifications.
- Security certifications such as Security+, CISSP, etc.
- Govt. Security Clearance (Collateral/Secret).
