Richardson Marine is seeking a skilled and motivated Boat Fit‑Out Technician or Qualified Marine Technician to join our busy team on the South Coast of Victoria. If you love boats, fishing, and life on the water, this could be your ideal role. You’ll be working on custom boat fit‑outs, installing the latest marine technology, and even getting out on the water for set‑up and testing.

This position would suit someone with a trade background who’s looking to expand their skills or transition into an exciting, fast‑growing industry. At Richardson Marine, we represent leading brands including Stabicraft, Suzuki, Sea cruiser, and Quintrex, and pride ourselves on quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.

• Complete full fit‑outs, rigging, and system upgrades on new and used boats
• Install and configure marine electronics (Garmin, Furuno, and other leading brands)
• Install electric motors, hydraulic, and electric steering systems
• Rig and install Suzuki outboards for new builds and repowers
• Perform electrical wiring, troubleshooting, and diagnostics
• Conduct pre‑delivery inspections and trailer adjustments
• Maintain accurate records of work performed

• Experience with hand and power tools
• Basic wiring or electrical knowledge (desirable)
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Current Australian car licence and boat licence
• Forklift licence (desirable)
