L&S is the largest plumbing installer in Texas and has significant opportunity to grow its HVAC and electric offerings while also expanding into new geographies through acquisition and growing its nascent home services business.
As an electrical service technician at L&S, you will maintain, repair, install, and upgrade electrical equipment in residential homes. Electrical service technicians identify issues and communicate solutions to homeowners. This position will work closely with the L&S Customer Service Department and production. Key relationships will also include builders and homeowners.
General Responsibilities- Perform residential warranty and service work. Diagnose and repair electrical systems to include camera doorbells, smart switches, fan controls and arc fault and GFI circuit breakers.
- All work is done according to the National Electrical Code and shortcuts are not allowed. We do the right thing.
- Communicate with the Service manager and dispatch.
- Daily work in people’s homes in a professional manner and displaying a high level of communication skills.
- Utilize iPad/tablet to enter service call solutions and to acquire daily schedule for reviewing and planning efficient workday routes.
- Work alongside industry experts to expand trade knowledge and experience.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- 3+ years prior electrical warranty and service work for the residential construction industry.
- Current Wireman or Journeyman level license.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Able to pass background check and drug screen.
- Perform the physical demands of the position: working in indoor and outdoor elements with extreme variation in temperatures and weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow); climbing ladders and steep stairs, crawling, standing, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, sitting, reaching; able to routinely lift heavy objects more than 50 pounds, and pushing and pulling of objects.
