Senior Low Voltage Technician – Richardson, Texas
Join Next Level Technician as a Senior Low Voltage Technician in Richardson, TX. Earn $30–$35/hr, enjoy weekly pay, benefits, and steady work with a national leader in low voltage staffing. We are seeking an experienced technician who can lead projects, work directly with clients, and deliver high-quality low voltage installations.
Responsibilities- Lead low voltage installations and serve as the point technician on job sites
- Pull, terminate, test, and troubleshoot structured cabling systems
- Install, terminate, and troubleshoot speaker systems and commercial audio equipment
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot CCTV camera systems
- Perform quality control checks to ensure installations meet project requirements and industry standards
- Understand and explain testing processes, including the testing equipment used for cabling and low voltage systems
- Troubleshoot low voltage issues and identify solutions efficiently
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and project documentation
- Coordinate daily jobsite activities and assist in leading other technicians
- Communicate professionally with customers, general contractors, and project managers
- Provide project updates and ensure work is completed from start to finish
- Maintain a safe, organized, and professional jobsite environment
- 5+ years of commercial low voltage installation experience preferred
- Must have hands‑on experience pulling, terminating, testing, and troubleshooting low voltage cabling
- Experience installing and troubleshooting commercial speaker systems required
- Experience installing and troubleshooting CCTV camera systems required
- Must understand and be able to explain the testing equipment used and testing processes performed
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve system issues
- Must be thorough and descriptive when discussing technical experience and previous projects during the interview process
- Experience leading jobs, crews, or projects in the field
- Must be comfortable meeting with clients and acting as the onsite point of contact
- Ability to read and interpret low voltage drawings and documentation
- Basic hand tools and PPE required:
- Hard hat
- Safety glasses
- Gloves
- Hi‑vis vest
- Steel‑toed boots
- OSHA, Lift Certification, BICSI, and manufacturer certifications are a plus
