Service Low Voltage Technician – Richardson, Texas

- Perform service, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance on low voltage systems
- Diagnose and resolve issues with structured cabling, fiber, access control, and paging systems
- Install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot Cat5e, Cat6, and other structured cabling systems
- Perform fiber optic splicing, testing, and troubleshooting as needed
- Install, service, and troubleshoot access control systems including door hardware and related components
- Install and service paging systems and other low voltage communication systems
- Identify system failures and provide effective solutions in commercial environments
- Read and interpret low voltage drawings, schematics, and system documentation
- Complete service reports, document troubleshooting steps, and maintain accurate records
- Communicate professionally with customers, project managers, and team members
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Work independently while managing service calls and priorities efficiently
- 3+ years of commercial low voltage service experience preferred
- Must be highly proficient in:
- Structured Cabling
- Fiber Splicing
- Access Control Systems Paging Systems
- Troubleshooting
- Strong understanding of low voltage systems and the ability to diagnose issues quickly
- Must be detail-oriented and able to clearly explain technical experience and troubleshooting processes
- Experience testing and certifying cabling systems using industry-standard testing equipment
- Ability to read and understand low voltage drawings and documentation
- Must be comfortable working directly with customers and providing professional service
- Ability to lift, carry, and safely maneuver a 60–100 lb ladder
- Ability to work Monday–Friday (schedule may vary based on project needs)
- Must have basic hand tools and PPE:
- Hard hat
- Safety glasses
- Gloves
- Hi-vis vest
- Steel-toe boots
- OSHA, Lift Certification, BICSI, and manufacturer certifications are a plus
- Weekly Pay:
