Building Maintenance, Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Job Description
Support facility operations for Micron's Richardson campus.
- Perform routine equipment inspections and preventative maintenance.
- Conduct site walks and building condition assessments.
- Monitor and support building cooling systems (IRC/cooling equipment).
- Change filters and perform basic maintenance tasks.
- Support building turnover and occupancy expansion after construction efforts are completed.
- Work alongside the builder's engineer and Facilities team.
- Participate in punch walks and observe completion of construction-related activities.
- Escort vendors when working onsite.
- Complete fire extinguisher inspections and safety-related checks.
- Perform basic handyman duties including:
- Painting
- Patching walls
- Door repairs
- Minor carpentry work
- Assist with general facility issues and operational support.

- 2–3+ years of Operating Engineer, Maintenance Technician, Building Engineer, or Facilities Engineering experience
- Experience supporting commercial office buildings or corporate facilities
- Equipment inspection and preventative maintenance experience
- Experience conducting site walks and facility assessments
- Handyman experience including:
- Basic repairs
- Painting
- Patching
- Door repairs
- Minor carpentry
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Stable work history and demonstrated longevity in previous positions
- Ability to work onsite in Richardson, TX
- HVAC experience
- Building Engineering Technician experience
- Operating Engineer experience in a high‑rise environment
- Experience supporting occupied office space during construction or expansion projects
- Vendor coordination experience
- Experience supporting facility growth or workplace expansion initiatives
