In this role you will be working in a high‑performance IT engineering team building and sustaining the software and manufacturing systems that keep our fabs running. In this role, you’ll directly support Qorvo R&D and manufacturing teams. You’ll own end‑to‑end solutions (design, develop, deploy, and troubleshoot), partner closely with manufacturing and engineering stakeholders, and help shape system architecture as we modernize and scale.
Responsibilities- Support existing Manufacturing Systems and Applications.
- Software development, deployment, and troubleshooting of customer‑centric services and applications for manufacturing automation.
- Adheres to coding standards, pattern‑based development principles and participates in coding review to help maintain and preserve established, best practices coding outcomes.
- Maintains awareness of technology trends and identifies opportunities for potential assimilation into existing systems while prioritizing stability and consistency.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in software development
- Hands‑on experience in software development using object‑oriented language that follows complete development life cycle for Windows/Linux
- Familiarity with web and front‑end frameworks (.NET, Django, React, Knockout JS)
- Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL (Oracle, MSSQL)
- Direct experience with manufacturing systems within the semiconductor manufacturing industry
- Experience with development and support of manufacturing systems, and Manufacturing Execution Systems in particular strongly preferred.
- Experience with Siemens OpCenter Manufacturing Execution System
- Familiarity with Windows Services
- Familiarity with test‑driven development methodologies, structured refactoring methodologies, design patterns (e.g., MVC, MVVM).
- Exposure to containerization and orchestration (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)
- This is an onsite position, where the expectation is for this person to be onsite five days a week in our Richardson, TX office.
