Position Summary
CVS Health is looking for a Staff Software Engineer who isn’t afraid to use all their knowledge and communication skills to tackle complex problems. Our ideal candidate is detail-oriented and able to collaborate on the improvement of our software and systems. You will be involved in the structural design process, estimating costs, and performing quality control throughout the stages of implementation.
A first-class staff engineer will be someone whose engineering expertise translates into streamlined and cost-effective processes.
A Staff Engineer is a senior-level individual contributor who operates with a high degree of autonomy and is responsible for driving strategic direction, providing technical vision, and leading highly complex projects within their area. They are recognized as experts in their field and often lead by example, providing technical leadership across teams.
Key Responsibilities- Leading and driving strategic direction for their line of business
- Providing technical vision and guidance for complex projects
- Instilling and authoring engineering best practices
- Collaborating with management and cross-functional teams
- Mentoring and coaching junior engineers and peers
- Leading team discussions and cross-team initiatives
- Influencing technical direction and aligning decisions with business goals
- Driving innovation and introducing new methods or technologies
- 10+ Years of IT Experience
- 4+ Years of professional experience with hands-on Nest.
JS/Rest API - 4+ Years of experience in working with Webservices.
- 3+ years of Experience with various version control tools like GIT & SVN.
- Excellent communications skills with ability to communicate effectively in visual, verbal, and written form to teams, clients and leadership.
- Experience with CI/CD systems such as Jenkins, Circle
CI, GHA, Travis CI etc - 2+ Experience with AI technologies.
- 2+ Experience in leading Engineers
