** About the role
** Everfox has an immediate need for a Software Engineer to enhance the capabilities of cyber products for security-conscious government and commercial customers. The position is responsible for developing and testing new product capabilities, software development/build tools, software test infrastructure, and operational support for Cross Domain products.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter who works well in a cohesive team environment and is motivated to grow and learn across a wide range of software development and operational tools used to test, debug, and support software for secure Linux desktop environments, enterprise IT operations and management, IP networking/routing, and remote/virtual desktop deployments.

** Richardson, TX – On-Site

* Work Schedule:
*** Full Time, Monday – Friday (standard work schedule with flexibility for mission critical requirements).
* This position may require some minimum travel as needed to meet customer and project requirements.
** Key Responsibilities :
*** Demonstrate competency working hands-on in Linux-based environments.
* Develop new features and extensions to existing products using a variety of programming languages, including Rust, C, C++, Java, and proprietary languages.
* Utilize Linux and scripting expertise to integrate new features and extensions into complex products.
* Leverage standard networking concepts to support the design and implementation of Cross Domain capabilities.
* Develop data inspection policies using proprietary and open-source programming languages.
* Work Schedule:
* Full Time, Monday – Friday (standard work schedule with flexibility for mission critical requirements).

** Qualifications and
Experience:
*** BS Computer Science, Computer Engineer, Information Security or equivalent
* Experience with software development in Linux environments using a variety of programming and scripting languages including Java, Python, Go, C/C++, and/or bash
* Familiarity with TCP/IP networking & related protocols (such as HTTP, SSH, IPSEC, TLS/SSL, etc)
* Basic understanding of private and public keys and or certificates
* Experience with version control technologies such as Git
* Red Hat Enterprise, Fedora or Ubuntu Linux operating systems
* If needed the applicant must have the ability to obtain the appropriate work authorizations that may be required under U.S. ITAR or EAR regulations from the applicable U.S government ageny.

* Preferred Qualifications:
*** Experience with security design and architecture of Cross Domain solutions (CDS)
* Agile or Scrum development experience
* Experience with deploying cloud technologies such as MS Azure or AWS
* Development experience in a distributed, parallel or clustered processing environment
