Software Engineer, Unix​/Linux

Everfox has an immediate need for a Software Engineer to enhance the capabilities of cyber products for security‑conscious government and commercial customers. The position is responsible for developing and testing new product capabilities, software development/build tools, software test infrastructure, and operational support for Cross Domain products.

Location:

Richardson, TX – On‑Site.

Work Schedule:

Full Time, Monday – Friday (standard work schedule with flexibility for mission‑critical requirements). This position may require some minimum travel as needed to meet customer and project requirements.

• Demonstrate competency working hands‑on in Linux‑based environments.
• Develop new features and extensions to existing products using a variety of programming languages, including Rust, C, C++, Java, and proprietary languages.
• Utilize Linux and scripting expertise to integrate new features and extensions into complex products.
• Leverage standard networking concepts to support the design and implementation of Cross Domain capabilities.
• Develop data inspection policies using proprietary and open‑source programming languages.

• BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Security or equivalent.
• Experience with software development in Linux environments using Java, Python, Go, C/C++, and/or bash.
• Familiarity with TCP/IP networking & related protocols (such as HTTP, SSH, IPSEC, TLS/SSL, etc).
• Basic understanding of private and public keys and/or certificates.
• Experience with version control technologies such as Git.
• Experience with Red Hat Enterprise, Fedora or Ubuntu Linux operating systems.
• Ability to obtain the appropriate work authorizations that may be required under U.S. ITAR or EAR regulations from the applicable U.S. government agency.

• Experience with security design and architecture of Cross Domain solutions (CDS).
• Agile or Scrum development experience.
• Experience with deploying cloud technologies such as MS Azure or AWS.
• Development experience in a distributed, parallel or clustered processing environment.
• Experience with virtual desktop redisplay technologies such as RDP, Citrix Receiver or VMware Horizon View.

• Base salary range: $74,100.00– USD (actual salary may vary based on experience, locale and business needs).
