CNC Machinist III

$35.00 - $52.00/hour

CNC Machinist III Responsibilities

- Follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations to maintain a safe work environment
- Set up, operate, and maintain CNC floor bar machining centers according to work instructions and quality standards
- Program and modify toolpaths using CAM software
- Verify tooling, establish work offsets, and ensure program accuracy prior to production
- Monitor machining operations and make adjustments to optimize speeds, feeds, depths of cut, and overall performance
- Inspect finished work using precision measuring instruments to ensure compliance with specifications and tolerances
- Identify and troubleshoot machine malfunctions, tooling issues, and out-of-tolerance conditions
- Maintain accurate production documentation and communicate shift-to-shift updates effectively
- Keep machines and work areas clean, organized, and production-ready

Requirements for CNC Machinist III

- At least five years of CNC machining experience
- Proven experience programming and operating 5-axis CNC machine tools
- Experience machining exotic materials and working with specialized tooling
- Proficiency with CAM programming software
- Strong understanding and application of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) - Working knowledge of manufacturing safety practices and procedures
- Strong mathematical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail with the ability to work independently
- Demonstrated leadership and mentoring abilities

- Experience with Power Mill software is a plus IND
