Fabrication Associate – Sheet Metal & Precision Layout

COMPENSATION: $22.00 – $24.00/hour starting rate + full benefits package.

WORK SCHEDULE:

1st Shift (Consistent daytime hours with weekends off).

EXPERIENCE & TECH STACK: 2+ years of continuous sheet metal or custom fabrication shop floor experience; absolute fluency reading tape measures and physical rulers down to precise fractions; hands-on raw material handling.

What

You Will Be Doing (Daily Responsibilities)
  • Fabricate Industrial Sheet Metal:
    Operate within a high-efficiency production team to form, fit, and assemble heavy-duty sheet metal machinery and specialized structural systems.
  • Execute Precision Measurements:
    Utilize rulers, tape measures, and layout tools daily to verify raw materials and finished component dimensions down to exact fractional specifications.
  • Stage & Handle Raw Stock:
    Safely maneuver, position, and load raw sheet metal stock into production staging zones while maintaining an organized, clean-air work area.
  • Master Advanced Machinery:
    Cross-train across multiple specialized manufacturing stations, learning to operate diverse fabrication equipment to widen your floor versatility.
  • Inspect Structural Quality:
    Collaborate directly with team leadership to audit completed components, ensuring every piece meets strict quality, structural, and safety standards.
What We Are Looking For (Requirements & Qualifications)
  • 2+ Years Sheet Metal Depth:
    Verifiable floor experience working within a sheet metal manufacturing, punching, or custom metal fabrication environment.
  • Fractional Measurement Fluency:
    Absolute proficiency using physical tape measures and rulers to execute layout work quickly and accurately without guesswork.
  • Continuous Labor History:
    Minimum of 2 years of steady, continuous physical labor experience showing strong work ethic, physical stamina, and shop floor reliability.
  • Track Record of Reliability:
    Solid work history demonstrating daily attendance, long-term commitment, and dedication to safety and quality.
  • Local Commute:
    Established resident living within a reliable daily driving radius of Richfield, WI.
  • Compliance & Legal Authorization:
    Must be a United States Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card holder).
Preferred Technical Assets (Bonus Skills)
  • Press Brake / Shear Operation:
    Prior experience setting up or operating hydraulic press brakes, metal shears, or punch presses.
  • Blueprint Reading:
    Ability to read and interpret basic mechanical assembly drawings or fabrication schematics.
  • Deburring & Metal Finishing:
    Hands-on experience using angle grinders, sanders, or deburring tools to prepare metal edges for final assembly.
