ACS Professional Staffing is looking for an employee to work on-site with our client. This Nuclear Project Support Specialist will provide administrative and technical support to Project Managers by managing project documentation, SharePoint sites, and records throughout project startup, execution, and closeout. The role regularly coordinates with project staff to upload, organize, archive, and communicate project information, deliver user training, and support onboarding activities.
Additional responsibilities include assisting with closeout logistics, preparing written and verbal communications, and supporting outage-related activities as assigned.
This full-time position is located in Richland, WA.

Perform under limited supervision with appropriate discretion and judgment, with minimal direction/support and management involvement of activities listed below (and others as needs arise).
- Assist Project Manager(s) with the development and maintenance of project SharePoint site(s) for accurate records retention.
- Converse with site users in person, via email, and phone to identify needs and access to the site(s)
- Upload, publish, and archive documents to appropriate SharePoint location
- Maintain and organize project documents including actions and statuses on appropriate SharePoint location.
- Provide user training to project staff and others as needed.
- Prepare and deliver written and oral communications to various groups.
- Provide support to the Project Managers for all project closeout procedures; including but not limited to managing document duplication, scanning, printing, transmitting, and archiving.
- Support in-processing efforts for new department employees as well as contract employees. This includes SSIS, processing paperwork for new hires, as well as termination and scheduling training.
- Experience with all Microsoft program, including, Excel, Office, Microsoft Teams and SharePoint.
- Incorporate all process and procedures that support project startup and closeout phases.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Must support the biennial refueling outage in capacity as designated.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferably in applied management, business, or project management and 2 or more years of advanced administrative or technical experience,
- OR Associate degree from an accredited college or university in a management, technical, or science related field and at least 4 years of advanced administrative or technical experience,
- OR High School diploma/GED and at least 6 years of experience advanced administrative or technical experience.
- Experience in a commercial nuclear power plant environment.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, with diverse audiences and adapt messaging as needed.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Proficient in standard business software and information systems, including Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and Asset Suite.
- Familiarity with organizational policies, procedures, and processes.
- Ability to perform moderately complex, detail-oriented tasks with minimal supervision.
- Strong organizational, planning, and prioritization skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Demonstrated flexibility and ability to manage multiple tasks or projects in a fast paced, changing environment.
- Solid technical aptitude and the ability to quickly learn new systems and tools.
- Customer service–oriented mindset with a professional and constructive approach to work.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, and One Note.
- Ability to operate standard office equipment, including scanning and document filing systems.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of an organization.
- Familiarity with internal software systems and records management practices.
- Previous administrative or project support experience at a commercial nuclear facility.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience using Microsoft Word for advanced document formatting and editing.
